Directions
Come over the old Severn Bridge M48, come off immediately after the bridge and turn right signed Chepstow. Straight over next roundabout, straight through traffic lights and straight over next roundabout signed A466 to Tintern and Monmouth; you will see entrance to Chepstow Racecourse facing you to the right. Follow the A466 for about a mile (wide road) and as approach village of St Arvans and sharp right bend, turn left on the bend up a small road (just after a pub and horse saddlery place on left).
Follow this road for about 15 minutes passing through Devauden, Llanishen and Trellech. About a mile after Trellech, at a left-hand bend you’ll see a large sign showing Whitebrook and The Narth – turn right there and then straight on at a small crossroads and then next left. As you turn you will see a red telephone box (now housing a defibrilator), carry on up the hill and we are the 2nd house on the left.
The campsite entrance is just up the lane, next left through a wooden 5-bar gate. Drive in; holiday cottage facing you, camping field to the right.
Alternative route
Alternatively after passing Chepstow Race Course, stay on the A466 through Tintern and Llandogo. A couple of miles past Llandogo the road crosses the river at Bigsweir Bridge (with traffic lights). Turn left from the A road (actually straight on) just before the bridge. Follow a narrow winding road for 3 or 4 miles through Whitebrook and at the top of the hill turn right at a red telephone box (now housing a defibrilator). Carry on up the hill, passing 2 houses on the left, and the campsite entrance is through a wooden 5-bar gate on left.
The alternative route not suitable for caravans or motorhomes.
Take the B4293 signpost Trellech. Bear left at a fork in the road still signpost Trellech. Follow the road for about 4.5 miles climbing around hairpin bends. After the road levels out there is a large sign showing Whitebrook and The Narth – turn left there and then straight on at a small crossroads and then next left. As you turn you will see a red telephone box, carry on up the hill and we are the 2nd house on the left. The campsite entrance is just up the lane, next left through a wooden 5-bar gate. Drive in, holiday cottage facing you, camping field to the right.
